Happy New Year Syed Ridwan

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you.
A new page. A new blog. A new entire life. Working life I supposed.

Well, since new year is coming, I would like to make new year resolutions. Hopefully, this time round, I'll stick through and try to achieve them.

2014 Resolutions

  • To have that solid 6 pecs that I've been wanting since army days
  • To do hiking/climb a mountain (eg. Kota Kinabalu)
  • Marathons at least once every 2 months. If possible once a month
  • To run a full marathon
  • Be that workaholic man
  • Lesser music commitments**
  • Grade 5 Theory & Violin Grade 5
  • Holiday at least 2x a year! (a must - kinda planned)
  • Restart on my savings
  • To be in a long-lasting relationship
How would I achieve them?
To have that solid 6 pecs that I've been wanting since army days
  1. Gym at least 1x per week
  2. Run at least 2x per week - training for marathon as well
  3. Home workout every fortnight
  4. Have a healthier diet. Control fast-foods if possible.
  5. Drink lots of water
To do hiking/climb a mountain (eg. Kota Kinabalu)
  1. Already planned with Azmil & the rest of the OrST members (those who are interested)
  2. June 2014 - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia
Marathons at least once every 2 months. If possible once a month & To run a full Marathon
  1. Already list down the marathons in my calender for the first 6 months
  2. Don't forget to register - Put reminder and the deadline of each race.
  3. Sundown 2014 - Full Marathon (a must)
Be that workaholic man
  1. Work - First Priority. Simple. Say yes to work. No and reconsider to other things.
Lesser music commitments / Theory & Violin Grade 5
  1. Commit by concerts. Don't commit by society.
  2. Try to reduce practices per week. You need that free time on your own.
  3. Register when the registration is open. Set reminder and mark it down in the calender.
Holiday at least twice a year! (a must - kinda planned)
  1. June - Malaysia - Kota Kinabalu with OrST members
  2. December - Somewhere a little further. Probably
    • Hawaii - Honolulu
    • Japan - Tokyo
    • Korea - Seoul
    • Thailand - Bangkok to Krabi to Chiang Mai (If Thailand, I'll hop around)
    • Indonesia - Jakarta to Bali (hop around too)
  3. If possible, Overseas run? Pending
Restart on my savings
  1. Open a new bank account, purely for savings. (done) - Increase monthly withdrawal from bank. eg, $200 per month.
  2. Set aside a sum for shopping purposes and please try not to go beyond budget cause I tend to do that.
  3. Set aside for family expenses too.
To be in a long-lasting relationship
  1. Must I elaborate? Hehe.
I guess these are my wishlist. Hopefully I can achieve them. Insha Allah.

With love,
Syed Ridwan
