Alhamdulilah,

Another concert is over. This concert somehow have a great impact on me. I learn a lot from this concert. From conducting, composing, arranging, music wise, and apart from that I learn to be more patient with people, players especially, and I am so glad that I'm there to help out not just up front but also behind the scenes.

This concert is a beginning for me to embark my musical journey, and I would like to thank OrST to expose me and my music! I appreciate that so much. Afterall, my compositions are made to share to listeners out there.

24 hours have barely passed and I've already miss the whole concert especially Sang Nila Utama. InsyaAllah if there's opportunity, I would like to bring SNU to a completely different level. Its just that I don't know the how abouts to doing that & who to approach. For now, I'll just dream about it first.

Sang Nila Utama, a song that plays around with audiences' imagination. That was the main objective and I believe that yesterday's performance could have been better. But I believe everyone did they very best to tear the whole stage down.

Special thanks to arrangers and composers who helped and adviced me on what to do to make the whole of SNU better sounding. Thanks to the winds section especially who took extra time to go through their parts with me on an additional weekend. I really appreciate that. Percussions, you guys have been my strongest section and you guys are so independent and even with minimal mentorship, you guys excel very fast and you guys need credit for that. *standing ovation* Strings, you know I love you guys right? Sorry for me being so harsh on you guys because I want you guys to improve and be a better string player. Keys, kinda last minute! Sorry Danial your name is not in the programme sheet. Due to last minute backout by Deborah for her not feeling well, I salute you for being able to still play behind that keyboard with your crutches.

To each and everyone of you, Konsert Senandung Temasek was a success really. Thanks to everyone's effort to make the concert possible.

Lastly, I'm taking a break from music (not just OrST) but from my other orchestras as well, to focus on my work for the time being. I'm going to miss the bond we have made and deep down, I love you guys. See you guys again soon! Thank you.

With love,
Syed Ridwan
